Gibson J-185 1952 Vintage Sunburst

The J-185 was immediately appreciated for its powerful yet controlled tone. Today's edition is made with stunning flame maple and topped with thermally aged Sitka spruce, which gives it the complex, rich voice of a decades-old instrument. Hand-built, using traditional methods such as hand-scalloped X-bracing and a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint, it's as close to the original as you can get. The mahogany neck is carved with an authentic V profile and topped with a rosewood fingerboard inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The high-quality bridge features decorative Maltese cross inlays that add a touch of luxury to the vintage patina and hand-rubbed nitrocellulose lacquer.
