The Gibson ES-335 Dot is the cornerstone of the Gibson ES range. From its appearance in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 immediately set an unparalleled standard. The rosewood fretboard with pearloid Dot inlays on a hand-rounded "C" mahogany neck reminds guitarists where it all began. The brand-new Gibson calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups paired with the hand-wired control assembly showcase the versatile Gibson ES sound that guitarists have desired for over 60 years. Stability and precise tuning are provided by the Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, paired with the lightweight ABR-1 aluminum bridge and Stop bar tailpiece. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge was designed by legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard of simplicity and functionality that has never been improved upon. The ABR-1 is inserted directly into the guitar body using a separate stud and thumbwheel, providing a stable position for the strings and allowing players to adjust intonation and string height in minutes.
