1961 brought some big changes to the Gibson Les Paul, most notably a sleek, all-new, double-cutaway, all-mahogany body design, which would later be renamed the SG.

This Gibson Custom Shop model recreates those beloved originals, complete with a Sideways Vibrola, a side-action vibrato similar to those found on early 1960s models.

It also features a bound Authentic '61 Thin Profile mahogany neck, Kluson tuners, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, two Custombucker pickups, vintage-taper CTS potentiometers, and Black Beauty capacitors.
