Among the most important guitars in music history, the 1959 Les Paul (R9) certainly deserves a place of honor.

Defined as Gibson's holy grail, this Gibson Standard Reissue features a mahogany neck with a Medium C profile and 12" radius, a body with a one-piece selected mahogany back and a two-piece figured maple top, and two Custombucker Alnico III pickups.

The Custom Shop's crowning achievement pours 25 years of experience and research into making it practically a clone of the historic model, reproducing the polymers of the era for the plastic parts. The paint is also the same as in that era, and the pickup winding also follows the specifications of those years.

Clearly, a total selection of the woods used ensures the instrument is playable to its fullest potential. A guitar that clearly aims for the complete satisfaction of its guitarist.
