1960 was the last year for the original Les Paul Standard and its single-cut design as it was replaced by the SG model and its more "modernist" look. This was also the year of the "reflector" knobs and a new, slimmer, more comfortable neck profile closer to the needs of guitarists of the time. The '60 Burst was played by artists such as Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Sir Paul McCartney.
