Description

The 7050B has long been a market benchmark in terms of size/SPL ratio.It can therefore be said that the improvements of the 7050C update a product that can be considered a classic.The LSE (Laminar Spiral Enclosure) spiral has been refined to obtain a clean sound even at high peak levels. Users will thus benefit from a significant 3dB SPL increase, as well as a universal switching power supply.The 7050C, designed to work alongside existing Genelec subwoofers, is efficient and practical in both stereo and multi-channel systems. The bass management system offers five input and output channels with 85Hz low-pass/high-pass filters, plus a discrete 120Hz LFE input signal with a selectable +10dB boost.The 7050C is only 410mm high, with a width of 350mm, a depth of 319mm, and contains a single 205mm magnetically shielded low frequency driver, housed in Genelec's LSE spiral enclosure. This allows the unit an impressive linear response down to 24 Hz. Like all Genelec products, the 7050C has been sustainably created and offers transparent and long-lasting sound reproduction for years. It can be calibrated thanks to the numerous DIP Switches on the rear panel, so it can be placed in any acoustic environment. Various settings can be adjusted, such as low-frequency roll-off, activation of a +10dB LFE, and the intelligent ISS energy-saving system, which reduces the unit's consumption to 0.5 W in standby.The 7050 has a celebrated history: it was initially launched in 2002 with the 7050A subwoofer (replacing the 091A). Over the years, the model has become a standard.In 2005, an updated version (the 7050B) was released, and now the 7050C continues the work of its predecessor, becoming the perfect companion for any Near-Field monitor, specifically for the Genelec 8010, 8020, 8030, and M030.
