Description

The Genelec 1032B is a powerful 2-way active monitor, consisting of a cabinet designed to house magnetically shielded speakers, active crossovers, and dedicated amplifiers for each driver. The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function reduces the system's power consumption to less than 0.5 watts by automatically putting the monitor into standby when no signal is detected on the inputs for a certain period of time. As soon as an input audio signal is detected, the system is instantly reactivated. This ISS function is compliant with new EU regulations and ErP Directive 2013, which regulates the power consumption of electronic equipment. Thanks to its compact size, the Genelec 1032B is ideal for any audio application, from broadcast to television productions, from mobile studios to home studios, as a powerful nearfield system. The exclusive DCW™ (Directivity Control Waveguide™) technology ensures precise and accurate stereo imaging and frequency balance, even in suboptimal listening situations. The versatile crossover control allows for optimal adaptation of the monitoring system to the listening environment. A rack adapter is available for the amplifier, which can be removed from the cabinet and placed elsewhere (lightening the monitor if it is flush-mounted into a wall). This ensures better heat dissipation and makes the DIP switch settings accessible for equalization control during system calibration.
