The G/520 connector is used in models from the Quik Lok ITALIAN STANDARD (ITST B) series:

- ITST/MF B microphone cable Male XLR <-> Female XLR

- ITST/MJM B microphone cable Male XLR <-> Mono Jack 6.3

- ITST/MJS B microphone cable Male XLR <-> Stereo Jack TRS 6.3

The XLR connector is commonly used for electrical connections in professional audio and Hi-End fields. It is colloquially called a Cannon connector in reference to the original manufacturer: Cannon Electric. This type of connector has a locking system. The XLR connector is used to carry the signal on a balanced line, allowing devices to be connected over long distances without loss of quality due to background noise. This is made possible by the presence, in addition to the ground on pin 1 and the signal to be carried on pin 2, of the same signal, but with inverted polarity (also improperly called 180° out of phase) on pin 3.
