Fidelice - Phono PreamplifierThe Fidelice Precision Phono Preamplifier is based on the classic amplification topologies that have made Rupert Neve microphone preamplifiers the obvious choice for all recording studios since the early 1970s. This makes it a unique product of its kind. The MM and MC gain stages of the Precision Phono Preamplifier have been carefully designed to achieve an engaging, accurate, deep listening experience with unprecedented expressive listening. Class A discrete component amplification stages, specially developed for this product, are implemented throughout the signal path for both MM (moving magnet) and MC (moving coil) inputs. The passive RIAA filter uses components with exceptionally tight tolerances. These preamplification stages use discrete Class A components, refined after countless hours of listening and comparisons, employing high-performance JFET and bipolar transistors.Control your soundThe Fidelice Precision Phono Preamplifier has an intentionally minimalist set of controls, but there are several options to adapt the Phono stage to your system. The left switch introduces an 18 dB/octave Rumble Filter with a cutoff frequency of 11.4Hz that removes spurious very low-frequency signals caused by record warps, thus preventing the amplifier and speakers from wasting power and dynamic headroom to reproduce unnecessary sounds. Preamplification circuits are available for both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges, so you can use the Precision Phono Preamplifier with any cartridge. The MM provides an input impedance of 47 kOhm, a selectable load capacitance between 110 pF and 220 pF to accommodate a wide range of MM cartridges, and a gain of 40 dB. The MC provides an input impedance of 100 Ohm, a capacitance of 220 pF, and a gain of 60 dB.
