New for 2024, the Fender Custom Shop delves into the origins of the Tele® to present a unique, transitional model: the 1954 Telecaster®. Early 1954 marked the last production of the celebrated single-ply black phenolic pickguard on what we now know as the Nocaster® Blonde finished body, before transitioning to a single-ply white ABS pickguard to match the brand new Stratocaster®.

Preserving the iconic features of highly sought-after early Telecasters®, this 1954 model features a two-piece selected ash body (with an offset seam on the treble side), a one-piece maple neck with a '54-style "U" profile, and a compound vintage fingerboard radius from 7.25" to 9.5". Equipped with a pair of hand-wound Custom Shop Loaded '51 Nocaster® pickups, this guitar delivers all the clarity and twangy tone one would expect from an early 1950s Telecaster®, but with a bit more punch.

The 1954 Telecaster® is available in various Custom Shop finishes with different degrees of wear, including Time Capsule, DLX Closet Classic, Relic®, Journeyman Relic®, Heavy Relic®, and Super Heavy Relic®.

Other premium features include 21 medium vintage frets (47095), Fat '50s Tele® wiring, 3-position selector switch, single-ply black phenolic pickguard, '51-'54 Tele® bridge with brass barrel saddles, vintage-style tuners, bone nut, disc string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
