The Fender® American Vintage II series presents a particularly accurate re-release of the revolutionary designs that changed the course of music history.

Crafted with historically accurate bodies, necks, and hardware, high-end finishes, and with the utmost attention to sound, featuring year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tones.

In 1963, a new combination of woods united the punch and focus of alder with the added warmth of a round-lam (curved bottom) rosewood fingerboard, enhancing the unmistakable Tele® "twang."

With Pure Vintage '63 Telecaster® pickups, a bridge with three threaded steel saddles, and a comfortable maple neck with a "C" profile, the American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster reproduces the sound & feel that are the quintessential original. Characteristic of 1963 production, this Tele stands out for its "clay dots" (close together at the 12th fret), a 7.25” radius fingerboard, and is offered in three colors: Crimson Red Transparent on mahogany and 3-Color Sunburst or Surf Green on alder.
