FENDER 70TH ANNIVERSARY ESQUIRE WHITE BLONDE ELECTRIC GUITAR

The very first solid-body electric guitar marketed by Fender in 1950 was the Esquire.

With a sleek single-cutaway silhouette, an adjustable 3-saddle bridge, and a single repurposed lap-steel pickup in the bridge position, the Esquire paved the way for all solid-body electric guitars that followed, heralding the arrival of its more famous sibling, the Telecaster.

Like the early Esquire models, the 70th Anniversary Esquire features a pine body, a lightweight wood known for its powerful and complex tone, and enhances it with our roasting treatment, significantly improving body resonance.

Other features include a lacquer finish, a thick "U" neck, a Tim Shaw-designed Esquire bridge pickup (inspired by an original 1950s Esquire from the Songbirds Museum in Chattanooga, TN), a special anniversary neck plate, and a tweed case. Production of the 70th Anniversary Esquire will be limited to 2020 only.
