The steel framework also provides excellent protection against magnetic fields produced by lighting dimmers, power transformers, and electrical cables. The protective bumper guards the connectors and trim switch, and the robust steel handle makes it easy to transport the Exo-Pod. Connections to and from the Exo-Pod include a balanced XLR input, ten balanced XLR outputs, and four 3.5mm TRS mini-jacks for video cameras, portable recorders, tablets, or other multimedia systems. An input trim allows the broadcast engineer to locally reduce the output level. All outputs are transformer-isolated to eliminate noise and hum often caused by ground loops. XLR outputs are integrated with individual ground lift switches for further noise reduction. The Exo-Pod is completely passive and requires no power.
