Evans J1 heads are single-ply frosted drumheads with a thickness of 0.25 mil.

They are perfect for use with brushes and guarantee maximum sensitivity across all dynamic ranges.

Thanks to optimized sustain and frequency balance, J1 heads produce a natural sound very similar to calfskin heads, but denser and more stable.

15" head made with a single 0.25 mil ply.

The frosted coating does not scuff with drumsticks.
