Evans J1 drumheads are single-ply, satin-coated, with a thickness of 0.25 mil.

They are perfect for use with brushes and ensure maximum sensitivity across all dynamic ranges.

Thanks to optimized sustain and frequency balance, J1 drumheads produce a natural sound very similar to calfskin, but denser and more stable.

13" drumhead made with a single 0.25 mil ply.

The satin coating does not scratch with drumsticks.
