The Evans EMAD are single-ply, coated drumheads with a thickness of 0.25 mil, offering the right balance between low frequencies, attack, and power.

EMADs also feature two interchangeable damping rings that enhance attack and low frequencies without having to remove the head or access the inside of the drum.

The standard, externally mounted adjustable damping system is unique and allows drummers to control attack and focus the sound.
