Crafted in partnership with the Gibson Custom Shop, this model is a faithful Epiphone reproduction of one of the most important and popular guitar models of all time. The Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard pays homage to the legendary original: the first true SG. In 1961, the original Les Paul model shape went on hiatus, replaced by an entirely new design that is known today as the SG. Featuring a two-piece solid mahogany body with double cutaways and Custom Shop Historic bevels, it also has a one-piece mahogany SlimTaper C-shaped neck profile, reproducing those legendary early Les Paul SG models.

It also has a historically inspired pickguard and is equipped with a pair of Gibson BurstBucker humbucking pickups connected to CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, a Graph Tech nut, and Switchcraft output jack and toggle switch.

Naturally, all the legendary SG aesthetic and stylistic touches are also present, and a vintage-style hardshell case is also included.
