Honoring DR's tradition of using old construction styles to improve modern performance, Pure Blues electric guitar strings were designed with Pure Nickel round-wound on a round core. Although this is a slow and expensive string construction method, it results in strings appreciated for their greater sustain, vintage tone, and excellent low-end tones for solos and rhythms. The extra pass of the pure nickel wrap around a round core gives Pure Blues strings a power that is difficult to find on vintage-style strings.
