The DOD Overdrive Preamp 250X is the tenth evolution of the legendary 1974 OD250, designed to offer unparalleled tonal versatility.

This updated version uses the correct vintage LM741 operational amplifier, just like in the 70s. It features the same potentiometer values and curves for Gain (distortion) and Level (volume) as the original OD250, providing the feel and control range that users are already accustomed to.

With three distinct distortion modes, this is the most versatile and expressive 250 pedal ever created: Traditional SILICON standard mode: authentic vintage, faithfully reproduces the original sound. Ge/ASYM mode: offers a completely different asymmetric distortion, with even harmonics, using a vintage germanium diode. LIFT mode: completely eliminates diode clipping, allowing it to be used as a clean boost, or even as a dirty boost by clipping the LM741 with higher gain settings.
