The new "Powered Platform" concept allows the amplifier to be used as a multi-effects unit.

"Darkglass" becomes a multi-effect. With the new Exponent 500, Darkglass offers a 500-watt bass amplifier with integrated effects and proven distortion functions.

Via PC or Bluetooth, for example, presets for chorus, delay, or octaver can be created and recalled in the Expo 500. A total of 22 effects are "currently" available for selection. An integrated tuner is also available.

Once connected, it transforms into a multi-effect, with fully programmable and pre-settable signal chains with all the components a professional bassist needs.

There are five Quick-Pots on the front panel of the Exponent 500 (a, b, c, d, and e).

By default, these knobs are mapped to the four Amp EQ frequency bands and a specific preset control.

In the Darkglass Suite, you can freely assign the Quick-Pots to your selection of five effect controls in the signal chain.

Pressing the preset button switches between presets 1 to 5 and a bypass signal. The current preset is indicated by a single LED next to the preset number.

When the e500 is bypassed, all preset LEDs show a soft white color. Long press the preset button to initiate Bluetooth pairing. All preset LEDs will illuminate white while pairing is active.

Exponent 500 comes preloaded with five versatile factory presets.

Use the iOS or Android versions of Darkglass Suite to create, edit, share, and apply presets. Make sure your Darkglass Suite version is 4.3.0 or later.
