The D112A is a 500W combo featuring a 12" cone and an analog preamplifier section developed by Darkglass to meet the portability needs of bassists who require a compact yet powerful amplifier for both home and live use.

Top Panel Features

    
• Input: Use this jack to connect your instrument via a standard ¼” mono cable.
    
• Headphone Output: Connect your headphones and enjoy cabinet emulation.
    
• Passive/Active: Use this push-button switch to toggle between passive and active modes. If your bass is active it may have a stronger signal, causing the amplifier to distort earlier (feel free to use it if you want that additional distortion).
    
• Compression: Controls the amount of dynamic compression. Makeup gain is automatically adjusted.
    
• Drive: Controls the amount of distortion the Microtubes Engine will provide. Press to select the drive mode: OFF/Vintage Microtubes/Microtubes B3K.
    
• Blend: Use this knob to mix the Clean signal with the Distortion signal.
    
• Level: Controls the output volume of the Microtubes Engine.
    
• Bass: ±12 dB Low shelf
    
• Lo-Mids: ±12 dB at 500 Hz/1 kHz Press to select frequency
    
• Hi-Mids: ±12dB at 1.5 kHz / 3 kHz Press to select frequency
    
• Treble: ±12dB High shelf
    
• Master: Use this knob to control the overall volume of the combo. Press to Mute.

Rear Panel Features

    
• AC Power ON/OFF: Turn the amplifier on.
    
• AC Socket: Use this connector to power the amplifier. 100 – 230 VAC, 50-60Hz.
    
• Tweeter: Turn the tweeter On/Off.
    
• Pre/Post: Select between the clean DI signal and the processed signal.
    
• DI Output: Use this connector to send your signal to consoles, mic preamps, interfaces, etc.
    
• Ground lift: Use this control to lift the ground of the XLR output. If you experience ground noise in your DI signal, try changing this control.
    
• Aux In: Connect this input to the headphone output of your laptop, cell phone, MP3 player, etc. The Aux In signal is only sent to the headphone output.
    
• Return: Use this input to receive the signal from your external equipment.
    
• Send: Use this output to send the signal to your external equipment.
    
• Footswitch: Use to connect the Darkglass Super Intelligent Footswitch, Intelligent Footswitch or MIDI Footswitch using a 1/4" mono instrument cable.
    
• External Speaker: Use this connector to connect the amplifier to an external cabinet. The Combo SpeakON jack allows the use of SpeakON or ¼” speaker cables. Minimum load impedance is 8 Ω. Minimum power must be 250 W.
