The D-28 StreetLegend (2025) is the Dreadnought-shaped acoustic guitar from Martin & Co.'s "Standard" series, featuring the unique StreetLegend finish. It is crafted with a Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, a selected Hardwood neck, and an Ebony fingerboard. It features GE-Scalloped bracing, which provides greater brightness and sound projection, a further lowered GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, a heel, neck, and bridge with more rounded edges for enhanced comfort, and bone bridge pins. It has a nut width of 44.45 mm, a scale length of 645 mm, and a satin finish on the top, back, and sides.

The satin top of the new StreetLegend® model features visible signs of wear, inspired by historical models preserved in our museum. This gives your new guitar a lived-in look, reflecting an ancient soul, much like many of the valuable instruments we have selected over the years. The D-28 StreetLegend is crafted with satin East Indian rosewood back and sides, a highly resonant wood that offers deep lows and rich harmonics. It is a well-balanced guitar, suitable for all playing styles. It also includes aged open-gear tuners and an aged satin pickguard to complete the aesthetic. One of the main innovations of the 2025 Standard series is the use of Golden Era (GE) Sitka spruce bracing for the soundboard, a detail also found in the Modern Deluxe series, which gives a more vintage and airy tone with enhanced sustain. The neck with a modified "Low Oval" GE profile maintains the classic shape but has been optimized to offer a vintage appeal. The fingerboard has been thinned and features rounded edges for greater comfort, while the string spacing at the nut has been refined. The new GE "modern belly" bridge has softer, more comfortable angles. Standard Series guitars now come equipped with bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model. Aesthetic updates include an elongated neck diamond, an angled-cut nut, and a more articulated, vintage-style heel.
