"Virtual Needle" meter, with wide visibility of note and string names

The "virtual needle" meter by Korg, capable of displaying note and string names quickly and accurately, is now approximately four times larger, making value reading even easier. Two LEDs, one green and one red, indicate pitch variations, facilitating the tuning process.

Compact, thin, and lightweight body

The CA-2 is a pocket-sized tuner, lightweight and easy to carry. Its design is even more elegant and ergonomic, comfortable to hold. The CA-2 has been equipped with a new battery compartment featuring a mechanism that allows for battery replacement by sliding the entire body, without the risk of losing the cover itself.

Wide frequency detection range compatible with many instruments

The CA-2 has a wide frequency detection range from: A0 to C8, allowing for fast and highly accurate tuning of wind instruments, strings, keyboards, etc. In addition to the internal high-sensitivity microphone, it is also possible to connect the optional contact microphone (CM-300), which can be used to send the vibrations of the instrument to be tuned directly to the CA-2 for even more accurate intonation.

Adjustable for a wide range of concert pitch

The calibration function can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps from 410 to 480 Hz, to adapt to any genre, style, and key.

Pure Major and Minor Thirds

Intonation inaccuracies of notes in a triad are particularly easy to notice when performed by an instrumental group such as a brass band or orchestra. By slightly adjusting the frequency of a major or minor third interval relative to the corresponding tempered interval, magnificent "pure" third intervals can be achieved. The CA-2's Meter scale has special reference points to indicate major and minor third intervals relative to a specific pitch. By simply tuning your instrument to these reference points, you will achieve beautiful pure harmonies when playing in an ensemble.

Sound Mode produces a reference signal from the built-in speaker

In addition to visual tuning with the aid of the Meter, it is also possible to tune by ear using the Sound Mode, which produces a chromatic reference audio signal adjustable in the range from C4 to C5.

Approximately 200 hours of continuous use

The low power consumption design allows for an incredible continuous battery life of approximately 100 hours with standard zinc-carbon batteries, and approximately 200 hours with alkaline batteries!
