The entire production process of KORG C1 Air-WH, from keyboard manufacturing to final assembly, takes place in Japan, specifically in Miyama-cho, Nantan-shi, in the Nantan region, at the center of Kyoto Prefecture, one of Japan's most renowned areas for tourism and historical monuments.

The C1 Air-WH Keyboard

KORG C1 Air-WH employs the "Hammer Action 3" (RH3) weighted keyboard, which accurately reproduces the mechanical action of a grand piano, including the characteristic variation in touch caused by the weight of the hammers: heavier in the bass register of the instrument and progressively lighter towards the treble. RH3 is also a very responsive keyboard for repeated notes, allowing for extremely precise dynamic control, thanks to five sensitivity levels: light, normal, heavy, stable, fixed. This way, the instrument's response can be adapted to every pianist's playing technique.

The Design

The design philosophy adopted in the creation of C1 Air-WH pays homage to the traditional acoustic piano while seeking to distinguish it from other similar products. Its modern design incorporates distinctive elements such as the two slightly curved legs that elegantly outline its profile, and the slim line with only 26 cm (10.24 inches) of depth, making it easily placeable in any environment. The Sound of C1 Air-BK

The sound of a piano changes significantly depending on how it is played. To achieve this level of expressive power on a digital instrument, two concert grand pianos were carefully selected by professional pianists, properly adjusted and tuned by highly experienced technicians, and sampled by KORG engineers. This complex process allows the C1 Air-WH user to simulate the experience of playing a grand German or Japanese piano, instruments carefully chosen for their ability to reproduce a wide frequency spectrum, to practice all major musical genres: from the most refined and intense nuances of classical music to the brilliant and powerful sound needed for Jazz and Pop. German Grand piano is characterized by a rich and powerful overall character, with deep bass and brilliant highs. Japanese Grand Piano has a dynamic and tonally versatile sound, allowing it to perform optimally across many musical genres, from classical to jazz to pop. In addition to acoustic pianos, C1 Air-WH offers electric piano sounds, organs, clavs, vibraphones, acoustic guitars, strings, and much more, totaling 30 very expressive sounds. Three high-quality effects are also available: brilliance, reverb, and chorus, already optimally set for each sound, so you only need to select a tone and start playing immediately, without thinking about anything else.

Supports Bluetooth Audio

On C1 Air-WH, you can connect a Bluetooth device, such as a Smartphone, allowing you to play the piano along with music stored on that device. Furthermore, when not used as a musical instrument, C1 Air-WH can become an efficient Bluetooth audio system.

The C1 Air-WH Song Recorder

C1 Air-WH features a 2-track digital recorder to instantly store every performance. This allows you to analyze your playing to check progress in your studies, or simply archive it. You can record each hand independently, or record an additional track over a previously recorded song. Playback speed can be adjusted later, and up to 99 different songs can be saved in the internal memory.

Ease of Use

All the main functions of C1 Air-WH are easily accessible from the front panel. By simply pressing a button, you can assign a bass sound to the lower part of the keyboard, allowing you to perform jazz-style performances by playing the piano with your right hand and the bass with your left. Alternatively, by pressing two buttons simultaneously, you can layer two tones, such as piano and strings, for orchestral-type performances. The instrument also features the Partner function, which allows you to split the keyboard into two identical left and right sections, each with its own pedal. This is an excellent method for practicing with your teacher.

40 songs useful for study

In addition to ten demo songs illustrating the possibilities of various sounds, the C1 Air-WH also includes 40 highly educational piano pieces. You can adjust their tempo, control the playback of the right and left hands, and use the "A-B Repeat" function to practice more complex sections.
