Vintage mode instantly recreates the legendary 1982 OC-2 mono, while Poly mode offers numerous improvements for playing across the full range. And with the addition of an octave-up function, a three-octave extension is now available for creative exploration. The OC-5 also offers a wider range and greater polyphonic capabilities than previous OC models, covering all your octave effect needs in one high-performance pedal.

Introduced in 1982, the OC-2 was the first modern octave pedal for guitar and bass. Still loved by musicians worldwide, the warm yet present sound of this effect fits perfectly in the mix, and its distinctive voice can be heard in many famous songs. The OC-5's Vintage mode recreates the iconic mono sound of the OC-2, along with improved response thanks to the new tracking function. Dedicated level controls are provided for the -1 and -2 octave effects and for the direct sound, ensuring quick access to an endless variety of lower octave colors.

The OC-5 also offers an evolved version of the intelligent Poly mode first introduced with the OC-3 Super Octave, allowing you to play full chords with octave effects. The Range knob restricts the effect to the lowest notes of your instrument, perfect for playing octave bass lines alongside normal chords and melodies in the higher registers. And with new tracking improvements, you can even restrict the octave effect to only the lowest note of a chord – just set the Range knob to "Lowest."

A further enhancement of the OC-5 is the new octave-up effect, available in both Vintage and Poly modes. Simply turn the dedicated +1 OCT knob to set the desired level of the effect. Use the octave-up effect alone to simulate 12-string sounds and unique lead tones, or combine it with octave-down effects to extend chord voicings and create super-fat lead tones.

The OC-5 allows you to instantly optimize its tracking performance for guitar or bass via a dedicated switch on the pedal. And with the Direct Out jack, it's easy to send the dry and effect sounds to different destinations, such as two amps on stage and separate channels of a mixer or audio interface.
