For over thirty years, the BOSS ME series has been a favorite of performing guitarists, combining multi-effects power with intuitive, direct control for creating sounds in an instant. The ME-90 is the most advanced ME model to date, offering exceptional audio quality with 24-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating-point processing, top-tier AIRD amplifier models, the ability to load your own IRs, an effects loop, and much more. Compact, battery-powered, and packed with the best BOSS sounds, this versatile and comprehensive processor makes it easy to create custom sound setups suitable for any performance situation.

Create Your Sound in Moments

With its knob-based interface and versatile effects selection, the ME-90 allows you to build setups and modify sounds with the ease of a pedalboard full of stompboxes, without the hassle of securing each pedal, distributing power, and managing many connection cables. Simply set an amp model or effect type within a category, and turn the knobs to create the sound you want. There are 36 preset patches with ready-to-use professional sounds, plus 36 user patches to save your personal creations.

Flexible Real-Time Control

The ME-90 features eight smooth and silent footswitches and an expression pedal with an integrated toe switch. Use Memory mode to recall complete setups saved in patches via the footswitches, then switch to Manual mode to directly control the on/off state of each effect category within the patch. The footswitch LEDs illuminate in different colors for quick identification during your performances. You can also set all LEDs to illuminate with a fixed color in each mode, if desired.

High-Quality BOSS Effects

The ME-90 provides you with a vast library of BOSS effects, with seven different categories packed with selections derived from the flagship GT-1000. You'll have everything you need: from overdrives and distortions to high-quality modulation/pitch effects, delays, and reverbs. There are also 11 dedicated Pedal FX, a looper, and specialized effects like acoustic guitar simulation and pitch shift. There are 60 effect types in total, with access to 20 more via BOSS Tone Studio. An external effects loop (send/return) is also available for external pedals, with the ability to save the on/off status in patches and position the loop before or after amp models in the signal chain.

Absolute Quality Amplifier Tones, Thanks to AIRD Technology

Along with its effects, the ME-90 includes amp models derived from the GT-1000 with the full power of advanced AIRD technology, for authentic tube-like tone and response. Eleven internal amp types offer everything from clean combo sounds to massive high-gain stacks, and you can access even wider selections with BOSS Tone Studio. Each amplifier includes a dedicated cabinet sound for connecting to a PA or recording device, and you can load three of your favorite speaker IRs to customize the sounds to your taste.

Edit, Customize, and Expand

BOSS Tone Studio for macOS and Windows extends your creativity, allowing you to edit sounds and change some amp and effect types with alternative selections. Plus, you can save and organize patches for different shows, download professional setups from BOSS Tone Central, and exchange patches with the ME-90 community on BOSS Tone Exchange. The ME-90 also supports the optional Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, allowing you to stream music from a mobile device and wirelessly edit sounds using the dedicated BTS editor app for iOS and Android.

Lightweight, Durable, and Ready for Travel

The ME-90 is lighter than the previous generation model, while maintaining the absolute robustness that BOSS is famous for. The expression pedal has also been redesigned for even more precise parameter control. You can power the processor with four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, while the rear panel switch instantly optimizes the outputs for use with a guitar amp or a full-range sound system, such as a PA. And along with communication with BOSS Tone Studio, the USB-C output allows you to use the ME-90 as a computer audio interface with your favorite music production software.
