With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new generation of pedals that combine advanced sound and versatility in a streamlined format that minimizes space consumption on your pedalboard. Intuitive controls and multi-function switches make operation simple and immediate, while internal memories allow you to save several setups that can be instantly recalled. The 200 series models offer superior sound quality, 32-bit internal processing, along with support for additional controls via external footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.

Featuring algorithms derived from the flagship MD-500, the MD-200 Modulation offers absolute class effects in a small and practical pedal. Twelve different modes provide you with all the modulation effects you could need and more, and each includes personalized controls allowing for detailed sound adjustments directly from the panel. And with the powerful Insert function, it's easy to connect distortions and other pedal effects and select whether the processing is applied upstream or downstream of the other effects.

Version 1.1 Update User Memory Expansion

The free software update to Version 1.1 offers greater versatility for the BOSS 200 series, expanding the internal memory capacity for saving and recalling sounds. Now, 128 user setups are available. Setups can also be recalled directly via MIDI program change messages.

The Version 1.1 update is available in the Downloads section of each 200 series pedal.
