Offering improved performance over the previous 13-pin analog interface, Serial GK opens up a universe of new sonic possibilities for guitar and bass synthesis.

Expand Your Creativity with a BOSS Divided Pickup

The GK-5B Divided Pickup is a special bass pickup designed for the GM-800 and other BOSS guitar synthesizers. Unlike normal guitar pickups, which send the signals from all strings to a single output, the GK-5B detects each string individually, transmitting their signals to separate outputs within the Serial GK system. The isolated information from each string allows compatible BOSS products to perform all kinds of advanced processing, a functionality not possible with standard pickups.

About the Next-Generation Serial GK System

Serial GK is a new digital instrument interface developed for BOSS guitar synthesizers. It features a secure and compact connection, offering a lower profile than previous GK products. BOSS BGK series cables are specially designed for optimal performance with the Serial GK system and are more durable and easier to handle than 13-pin analog cables.

Compatible with Most Bass Guitars

The GK-5B's wide width and six internal sensors support installation on virtually any four, five, or six-string electric bass. Furthermore, you can adjust the sensor spacing from underneath the pickup to perfectly match your instrument's exact bridge spacing.
