BOSS EQ200 GRAPHIC EQUALIZER

The EQ-200 is the most flexible compact equalizer ever created for guitar and bass. It features two wide-ranging 10-band EQ channels, along with an onboard graphic display that shows you the current EQ curve at a glance. Selectable signal flow structures configure the channels for stereo, parallel, or series operation, and you can even patch in external pedals for tone shaping upstream or downstream of the EQ. And to optimize the EQ-200’s performance for different instruments, the center frequency of all 10 bands can be set to three different types.

Dual 10-Band Equalizer with Adjustable Frequency

Thanks to its refined design, 32-bit/96 kHz sound, and very low noise floor, the EQ-200 offers precise tone control with superior audio quality. Up to 15 dB of cut or boost is available on each band, and each channel features a level slider for balancing with bypass sound or for boosting for lead solos when needed. The center frequency configuration of the bands can also be set to three types, allowing you to optimize the EQ-200’s equalization for all types of instruments, from electric and acoustic guitars, to bass, keyboards, and beyond.

Flexible Signal Flow with Pre/Post FX Insert

The EQ-200’s variable signal flow structure offers a unique level of versatility for shaping sounds. Channels A and B can be linked together or used independently, and you can also insert an external pedal (or chain of pedals) for pre-EQ and/or post-EQ processing. When used with overdrive and distortion pedals, you have an exceptional level of power in creating tone for rhythm and lead parts. The series mode positions the two equalizers one after the other, allowing you to create the basic sound with the first, and set the second for lead parts or further modifications.

Intuitive Interface and Visual EQ Display

Using the EQ-200 is fast, simple, and intuitive. Sliders provide direct access to the 10 EQ bands and the overall channel level, while the informative display shows you the current EQ curve. The two channels are selected via a dedicated panel button, and navigation of additional parameters is quick and efficient. And by using the Panel Lock function, you can disable the controls to prevent accidental changes while adjusting other pedals on your pedalboard.

Save and Recall Your Favorite Settings

The EQ-200 offers 127 user memories plus real-time panel adjustment, giving you a total of 128 configurations to choose from. Any range or consecutive memories and panel settings can be assigned for sequential access from a footswitch. It is also possible to limit the range of the sequence or assign memories directly for even faster recall. And if you’re looking for even more control, setups can be recalled directly via program change messages from an external MIDI device.

Accurate Real-Time Control

By default, the EQ-200’s footswitches control EQ bypass and memory selection, but you can reassign them to activate and deactivate channels, select specific memories, and more. Control can also be effected via external footswitches, which are also freely assignable. Or, you can connect an expression pedal to control channel A or B levels, or even the overall output level (a handy replacement for a volume pedal). You also have MIDI input and output via mini TRS jacks, allowing you to control various functions via external MIDI controllers and link multiple 200 series pedals to simultaneously select memories on different units.
