The iconic compact pedal design was introduced in 1977, and BOSS launched the DS-1 Distortion, which sold millions of units the following year with great success. To celebrate BOSS's 50th anniversary, the limited edition DS-1-B50A Distortion features a metallic finish; silver thumbscrew; gold-capped knobs; and a commemorative 50th-anniversary emblem.

Appearing in an exclusive livery with a dedicated 4-digit serial number and bespoke packaging, the DS-1-B50A features the same beloved circuitry as the standard production DS-1 Distortion.
