Description

POLAR 4 is a 4-channel USB audio interface built by guitarists and designed for guitarists.
It features 4 FET inputs for instrument, line and microphone, a headphone amplifier, +48V phantom power for condenser microphones, balanced outputs for professional monitoring, visual level meters and Blackstar’s unique 'Enhance' switch. Engaging the 'Enhance' switch activates exclusive electronics in the signal path that replicate the input stage of tube guitar amplifiers.
This circuit mimics the behaviour and characteristics of tube amplifiers, improving tone, touch, feel and response. With POLAR 'Enhance' enabled, Blackstar’s innovative input stage will never suffer from digital clipping – no more messy recordings, no more fuss and no more confusion when it comes to setting the 'right' levels.
POLAR allows the musician to manage the interface like the preamp gain of a real amplifier.

Polar 4 features two headphone outputs and one monitor output, with independent monitor and headphone control.
Microphone preamp based on the most famous vintage studio preamps.
Includes 'POLAR Control' software for fine-tuning levels, panning and monitor routing. Works with USB 3.0 bus power, with a +48V switch for microphones requiring phantom power.
