Description

Novation BASS STATION II is an analog monophonic synthesizer dedicated to bass sounds, with a 25-key full-size keyboard sensitive to velocity and aftertouch. Compact and portable, it features 2 oscillators plus a sub-oscillator, 2 filters (classic and acid 24 dB/octave), 2 LFOs, an arpeggiator, and a step sequencer with 32 rhythmic presets. There are 64 factory patches and 64 user patches. 

Bass Station II Sound Synthesis

Thanks to its two synchronizable oscillators and a third supporting the lower frequencies, the Bass Station II can generate deep and enveloping basses, as well as more aggressive and raw sounds. There are two types of filters, the classic filter from the original Bass Station and the Acid filter at 24 dB/octave, for a darker and more homogeneous imprint. 2 LFOs and a pair of ADSR envelopes enhance the possible modulations in this synth.

Novation Bass Station II offers a series of intuitively arranged controls on the panel that will allow you to explore and constantly generate new sounds. Controls are organized in the clearest and most useful way possible, to make your creation process fluid and enjoyable. 

Save and load your sounds

Bass Station II comes with 64 specially designed presets to highlight its incredible sonic flexibility. From the Novation website, you have the ability to download new presets created by various artists, or you can create sounds from scratch and save them into one of the 64 user preset slots. A dedicated library in the Components software allows for the management and organization of Bass Station II patches.

Arpeggiator and Step Sequencer

With the arpeggiator and step sequencer, you can record patterns in real-time and store them for recall and use with any patch. Sequences and arpeggios automatically sync with connected and "clocked" MIDI software or hardware. 

Connections 

You can connect Bass Station II to any Mac, PC, or USB power supply and start playing. It also has MIDI In and Out on 5-pin DIN ports, to connect to other compatible instruments. You can also connect an external instrument to the audio input and run it through the analog filter and internal effects!

Components Software 

Components is a management hub for Novation products; you can access new sound packs, manage sound content, customize your device, and stay updated with the latest firmware.
