The BAIO B is the multi-effect pedal with integrated IRs for electric and acoustic bass from Eko Guitars. It features 8 bass amp IRs, full gain and tone controls, compressor, chorus, phaser, reverb, delay, built-in tuner with mute function, instrument jack input and output, stereo headphone output, Bluetooth connection, and dedicated USB ports for use as an audio interface for PC/Mac and smartphones. The ideal pedal to always have your sounds with you.

Overview of the Eko Guitars BAIO-B multi-effect pedal

Thanks to its 16cm length, just 6cm width, and 260g weight, BAIO is an all-in-one multi-effect system capable of offering all the essential features and functionalities for the modern guitarist and bassist. Easy to carry and super durable thanks to its metal chassis, it allows for total control over your sound.

For the preamp section, you have gain, a three-band EQ, and compression. The modulation section, accessible via the Mod control, allows you to add chorus and phaser; delay and reverb can be activated by the dedicated knob, with delay time and reverb amount adjustable via the Time knob. The IR control allows you to select from eight Impulse Responses specifically created for BAIO by Massimo Varini, who chose and adapted some of the best DrapSound IRs. With the Out control, you manage the output volume, and via the three footswitches, you can switch from Preset mode for changing presets to Live mode, which allows you to separately manage IR, Delay/Rev, Chorus/Tremolo, and the preamp section. Also with the footswitches, you can activate Bluetooth to play your favorite backing tracks via an external device or activate the integrated tuner, which also allows you to completely mute the output signal.

The rear panel features two standard jack terminals for input and output, the power switch, a USB port for powering the pedal and charging the battery, and connecting to a computer for use as an audio interface. With the Phone jack, you can use the appropriate cable to connect your smartphone and use BAIO as an audio interface on your phone as well. There is also a headphone output that allows you to simultaneously listen to the instrument signal and any Bluetooth playback.

• When connected to a smartphone, it works as an audio interface (the BAIO output, with the included dedicated cable, is an analog output on a mini jack, and compatibility with different smartphone models and operating systems depends on the devices themselves; BAIO does not require special adjustments, it is a normal analog output);


• Bluetooth function (input) to play backing tracks from any BT-enabled device; what comes from BT is routed to the audio outputs and mixed with the device's volume, adjusting it based on BAIO's output volume.
