The Z1 series was designed for demanding students; all instruments in this series offer a fluid response, allowing musicians to concentrate on the quality of each individual sound. The ease of playing that characterizes these instruments is also due to the original handcrafted ALTUS Z-Cut headjoint. The sterling silver (925) lip plate and riser, and the characteristic angled embouchure hole, create a perfect balance between tonal character, control, and ease of emission. Furthermore, the French pointed key arms, a standard found on flutes for discerning professionals, guarantee a clear and precise mechanical response. The Z1 series flutes are available with open holes, closed holes, with and without split E mechanism, and with a C or B footjoint. Headjoint: Handcrafted Z-Cut in silver-plated nickel silver.
