Description

The LA131 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone ideal for vocals, choirs, piano, acoustic instruments, and drum overheads. With a compact and contemporary design, the LA131 is the perfect choice for podcasts, audio production professionals, recording studios, and stage or other live performances.

Housed in a precision-machined aluminum body, the 33mm fixed-charge capsule features a gold-plated diaphragm for a broad, natural frequency response. With its well-behaved cardioid polar pattern, the LA131 faithfully captures performance details while rejecting room noise and other unwanted off-axis sounds.

A dual-layer steel grille and ultra-thin acoustic foam provide exceptional pop resistance, ideal for podcasting and voiceover applications. Behind the grille, the capsule's aerial mounting system design allows the LA131 to deliver transparent, uncolored sound.

Patented impedance control between the capsule and circuitry ensures consistent, reliable performance across a wide range of environments.

A unique and extremely effective internal shock mount isolates the capsule from mechanical vibrations and tactile noise, eliminating the need for a bulky external shock mount.

Offering studio performance in a road-ready package thanks to its robustness and finish, the LA131 comes with a protective zippered case.

Requires 48-52V phantom power. For best results, the LA131 should be used with a high-quality microphone preamplifier and microphone cable.
