Arturia AudioFuse X8 OUT is an ADAT expander that adds 8 balanced analog line outputs (DC-coupled) to any interface with an optical ADAT output, bringing high-end D/A conversion up to 24-bit/96 kHz in a half-rack unit. Designed to integrate outboard gear, manage complex routing, and multiple monitor setups (stereo, surround, or check sets), it offers synchronization via ADAT or Word Clock on BNC with selectable termination and a D/A frequency response of 20 Hz-20 kHz ±0.04 dB.

AudioFuse X8 OUT is designed for those who already own an audio interface with an ADAT OUT connection that they are happy with and wish to increase the number of outputs. The unit converts 8 digital channels from ADAT into 8 analog outputs on 1/4" TRS jacks, maintaining professional standards of level and quality: it is the direct solution for expanding a control room, a live setup with complex routing, or a hybrid setup with external hardware.

8 outputs for outboard gear, multiple monitors, and advanced routing

The 8 line outputs allow you to send signals to hardware processors (compressors, equalizers, reverbs), to an analog mixer, or to create more complete listening configurations: secondary monitors, dedicated subwoofer, A/B pairs, and - where necessary - multichannel configurations. In practice, more outputs mean more freedom: you can dedicate stereo pairs to specific functions and reduce reconfigurations during sessions.

DC-coupled outputs for CV control and synth integration

The DC-coupled nature of the outputs also opens up uses beyond audio: driving synths and modules that accept control signals, or sending continuous signals for experimental applications. This detail makes the X8 OUT particularly suitable for electronic producers and hybrid studios working between DAWs, hardware, and modular setups.

Stable synchronization: ADAT, SMUX, and Word Clock.

The SYNC button on the front panel selects the clock source: ADAT for 44.1/48 kHz or ADAT SMUX for 88.2/96 kHz. When the unit is part of a larger digital network, the BNC Word Clock input allows all devices to be aligned to a common clock; the termination (HiZ/75 Ohm) is selectable, useful for Word Clock chains with multiple units.

Immediate installation and operation

Arturia AudioFuse X8 OUT can work as a desktop unit thanks to its integrated feet, or rack-mounted: a robust half-rack unit chassis, with included bracket and connecting plate to join two units (X8 OUT and/or X8 IN) in a single rack space. Operation is stand-alone, without the need for a recognized computer: once the output matrix is configured in your interface/DAW, the rest is pure I/O.

Visual control and simple management

The front controls and colored meters help quickly verify synchronization and levels, making the management of complex setups and routing changes more secure. An approach "by instruments, not by menus": immediate, readable, and repeatable expansion.
