Description

Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig is a USB-C audio interface in a single rack unit designed for those working with many synths and outboard gear: 16 balanced line inputs (TRS) plus 2 digitally controlled microphone preamplifiers, 8 DC-coupled line outputs, A/B monitoring, and ADAT expansion up to 16 channels. Studio-grade audio quality, with a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz (line in/out) and dynamic range up to 126dB (speaker outputs). It integrates an Immersive Audio Monitoring system for up to 16 channels (44.1/48kHz) with bass management, time alignment, and recallable presets: a true control center for recording, mixing, and multi-channel setups.

The nerve center for the recording studio

Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig was designed for those who want to keep multiple instruments and processors connected: a rich matrix of Ins and Outs on the rear for permanent cabling, and a front panel designed for quick connections (microphones, guitar/bass, stereo sources). The result is a more streamlined workflow: less patching, more time to dedicate to arrangement, recording, and sound design.

Extended and expandable connectivity via ADAT

The 16 balanced TRS line inputs allow for simultaneous management of synthesizers, drum machines, analog mixer outputs, and outboard gear. If your system grows, the ADAT ports (2 In and 2 Out) add up to 16 channels of digital I/O at 48kHz: useful for integrating multi-channel preamplifiers, converters, or studio stageboxes without having to replace the interface.

Digitally controlled front preamplifiers and "smart" inputs

The two microphone preamplifiers are digitally controlled, meaning their settings can be recalled as needed, with independent pad and 48V phantom power. Inputs 1 and 2 also offer Hi-Z mode for direct connection of guitars and basses; inputs 3 and 4 can also manage the source connected to the 3.5mm stereo jack on the front panel. In practice, you can switch from vocal recording to DI and "consumer" sources without having to reorganize your cabling.

DC-coupled outputs, reamping, and integration with modular systems

The 8 line outputs are DC-coupled, meaning they can also be used to send CV/clock to modular systems or external devices that require voltage control. Outputs 3 and 4 are also replicated on the front panel and can therefore be used as quick send/returns, dedicated reamping outputs, or to manage a second pair of headphones: concrete flexibility when recording or reamping guitars and basses through hardware amps and pedals.

Complete monitoring section with A/B speakers and headphones

AudioFuse 16Rig manages two pairs of speakers, main and alternative (A/B), with the possibility of assigning any pair of line outputs to the second pair of speakers. You will have level control for speakers and headphones and a headphone output designed to handle impedances up to 600Ω. This translates into more reliable mixing decisions: immediate comparison between two listening environments and simple management of cue mixes during duo or ensemble recordings.

Firmware 2.0: Immersive Audio Monitoring up to 16 channels

With update 2.0, the interface introduced a control environment for multi-channel systems with up to 16 outputs: Dolby Atmos configurations (up to 9.1.6), Auro-3D, 5.1, 7.1, quad or custom layouts. Each channel can be fine-tuned with trim (±6dB), delay for time alignment (0-20ms/0-6.85m), and test noise; bass management with crossover and 12/24dB/octave slope is also included. Once the configuration is saved as a preset, you can switch from stereo to surround/3D without having to rebuild the monitoring chain.

AudioFuse Control Center: I/O matrix, presets, and advanced control

From the AudioFuse Control Center software, you access the complete input/output matrix, loopback, monitoring settings, and firmware management. You can create presets for different scenarios (tracking, reamping, electronic production, immersive mixing) and recall them quickly. In professional contexts, this reduces errors and downtime: the studio remains consistent and repeatable, even when artists or sessions change.

Standalone mode and internal mixers controllable via MIDI

Without a computer connected, Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig continues to pass audio and MIDI and provides two internal low-latency mixers controllable via MIDI. This is an advantage for DAWless jams, live sets and hybrid rigs: you can manage essential levels and routing directly from the hardware or a controller, and save configurations to quickly switch between setups.

USB hub and USB host port

In addition to the low-latency USB-C connection to macOS/Windows, front and rear USB hub ports are available to power and connect peripherals. The USB host port allows you to use class-compliant USB MIDI controllers even when the interface is not connected to a computer: useful for maintaining control in standalone mode or in installations.

Software included with Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig

Included are AudioFuse Control Center and AudioFuse Creative Suite with Analog Lab Intro and a selection of Arturia FX plug-ins (preamplifiers, compressors, modulations, delays and reverbs). This is a practical package for ensuring sonic consistency in recordings and quickly setting up a "reference" processing chain without immediate investment in additional software.

To get included software:

Create an account and register the instrument on the Arturia website (click here).

NB: The included software applications are provided free of charge for promotional purposes and may change over time without notice. Algam EKO is solely responsible for the hardware instrument and cannot provide technical or commercial support for the free software provided or third-party software used with the product.
