The Arturia MiniFreak is a hybrid polyphonic synthesizer that combines two digital synthesis engines with analog filters, stereo effects, advanced modulation options, a sequencer, and an excellent 37-slim-key keyboard. It is a finely crafted instrument that elevates the playability of one of the French company's biggest successes in recent years, the MicroFreak, to a new level. The MiniFreak's dual digital synthesis engine features more than 20 different modes and can be used individually or in cascade, even to process the output of each of the two synth engines for an even more powerful and effective result. The 6 digital voices interact perfectly with the analog filters, creating a total and perfect balance between the clarity of digital sound and the richness of sonorities guaranteed by the analog circuit. The MiniFreak's extended modulation matrix provides control over every single sound parameter, with unique functionalities already successfully introduced in the MicroFreak such as Spice & Dice randomization. Thanks to the stereo outputs and the 3 digital FX slots with 10 types of effects to choose from, you have everything you need to take the sound to new levels of expression, ready for mixing, with chorus, distortion, and other high-quality effects. Despite its inclination for experimental sound design, the MiniFreak is also an extremely expressive instrument. Its 37-key velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch and its sequencer and arpeggiator functionalities make it a perfect synthesizer for performance and a lot of fun to play, also thanks to its unique randomization functions. The MiniFreak hardware synthesizer also comes with a dedicated software counterpart, which allows its unique hybrid sound and presets to be fully integrated into a DAW and vice versa. By using entirely identical architecture and synthesis engines, it offers a virtual experience that mirrors that of the synthesizer itself, at no additional cost.
