Description

The Alps J450e is an electrified acoustic guitar from the "EGO" series by Eko Guitars, featuring a Grand Auditorium shape, solid Italian Spruce top, 3-ply laminated Koa back and sides, Rosewood fretboard, and Mahogany neck, amplified with Fishman Flex Blend. Ideal for guitarists who love strumming and perfect for live and studio settings.

OVERVIEW OF THE ALPS J450e BY EKO GUITARS

With its "Grand Auditorium" shape, the Alps is characterized by a deep and enveloping sound, typical nuances of jumbo-like guitars. The tonal landscape of this instrument is enriched by the Italian Spruce top combined with 3-ply laminated Koa back and sides. The 14th fret body joint allows for agile access to higher frets, a very useful feature for lead guitarists, considering that on an acoustic guitar, frets beyond the 15th are rarely reached. The Alps comes in a Natural color with a Glossy finish and features Eko Vintage Open Gear tuners. A decidedly important feature is the presence of a high-performance amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: composed of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows to capture every nuance of the guitar thanks to the possibility of gradually adding the signal from the microphone to the piezo signal, via a "blend" potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the output Volume and blend, there is a display tuner (activatable by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in "mid-scooped" mode: when set to minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat), as it is increased, the mid frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of lows and highs, very convenient for obtaining a sound already "ready" for the mix. If the guitar experiences feedback issues, a very common situation in acoustic settings, it is possible to invert the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer.
