The AKAI Professional LPK25 MKII is the ideal choice for musicians composing and producing on the go, and for anyone looking for a space-saving solution for their home recording setup. Ultra-compact, extremely lightweight (weighing only 450 grams), and USB-powered, it's a portable yet highly effective solution for any situation. Featuring a new generation "synth action" keybed, the same as used by AKAI for the MPKmini MKIII but with even better touch response, this 25-key controller allows you to play your virtual instruments and control your DAW. Thanks to the octave transpose buttons, you can manage the entire 127-note, 10-octave MIDI range. The Sustain button simulates the functionality of a sustain pedal. The LPK25 MKII is a class-compliant USB device that requires no drivers to operate and is compatible with all operating systems and external devices with a USB-A port that support external MIDI controllers, such as the AKAI MPC series. Don't be fooled by its size: your LPK25 MKII features an arpeggiator that rivals those found in high-end hardware synthesizers. With a four-octave range and seven selectable operating modes (Up, Down, Exclusive, Inclusive, Order, Random, and Latching), you can create rhythmic and melodic phrases by playing single notes or chords. You can vary the rhythmic subdivision of arpeggios by choosing between 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 values, normal or triplet, and apply swing to achieve interesting rhythmic variations with percentages of 50%, 55%, 59%, 61%, or 64%. You can also manually set the arpeggiator's tempo from 30 to 240 BPM or synchronize it via MIDI Clock to keep time with your DAW or favorite virtual instrument. A software editor downloadable from the AKAI Professional website allows you to configure additional functions, such as semitone step transpose, etc. Once presets are created in the editor, you can transfer them directly to the LPK25MKII to recall them at any time. There are 8 Program memories (setting presets) that can be saved and recalled directly from the keyboard. The AKAI Pro LPK25 MKII comes bundled with the MPC Beats DAW, which includes a wide range of sounds, plugins, and drum samples.
