Description

The AKAI Professional EWI Solo is an electronic wind instrument equipped with 200 sounds (acoustic and electronic), a rechargeable lithium battery with a 12-hour life, a built-in speaker that allows you to play without necessarily connecting to a sound system or mixer, a highly intelligible OLED display, and audio outputs for headphones via an 1/8" mini jack and a master out via a 1/4" jack. Thanks to the USB port, it connects to your computer to be used as a MIDI controller for virtual instruments and to play wind instrument parts in your favorite DAW. With EWI Solo, you can play your favorite wind instrument without disturbing others: using the headphone output, without connecting to a sound system thanks to the built-in speaker, or by connecting to a mixer with a 1/4" jack output. The USB port allows you to use it as a MIDI controller to play your virtual instruments on a computer. Those who already play woodwind or brass instruments will not have particular difficulty adapting to the EWI Solo, as, with the simple rotation of a potentiometer, the instrument adapts to the playing style and fingerings of instruments such as the flute, oboe, saxophone, etc. Thanks to the pressure sensors, you can precisely manage intonation and volume dynamics; with the octave control wheels, you can instantly vary the range to change register, while with the intervention on the dedicated "touch strip" surface you can manage portamento. The reverb, delay, and chorus effects, pitch and intonation processors, and dual LFO allow you to adapt the sound to the needs of your performance, both in the studio and live. The two hundred sounds integrated into the EWI Solo include every type of timbre, from evolving synth pads to the most refined jazz clarinets, to provide you with the appropriate sound for every need. The sounds can be modified and saved as needed, and then recalled later.
