Discover the experience of producing anywhere with the Akai Professional LPD8 Wireless, a MIDI Controller featuring 8 velocity-sensitive backlit pads and 8 rotary potentiometers, with a compact size and weight, easily portable and connectable to computers, iPads, and iPhones wirelessly via Bluetooth (MacOS and iOS), or via USB (Windows, MacOS, and iOS).

You can take advantage of the convenient wireless MIDI connection offered by Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), which covers distances up to 30 meters by powering the unit with 3 AA batteries or through a standard USB power adapter. Akai Professional is an undisputed leader in the design of instruments for music production, and specifically in the LPD8 Wireless, we find 8 MPC-style, backlit, velocity-sensitive pads capable of operating on two distinct banks (16 pads), which you can use to play sounds, one-shot audio samples, loops, melodies, bass lines, and everything controllable via MIDI within your DAW software, music applications, and virtual instruments. The transmittable MIDI messages can leverage various functions derived from the historical MPC sampler series (Full-Level, Note-Repeat, Tap-Tempo), while for parameter control, you will have 8 assignable Q-Link rotary potentiometers. The LPD8 Wireless offers 4 user memories where you can save the configurations of all physical controls programmed in the software editor (available for MacOS and Windows via download).

These 4 presets can be quickly recalled from the instrument itself during your studio or live session and include pad configurations, from which you can transmit MIDI note messages, control changes, or program changes, rotary potentiometer settings (control change number and respective range), and Note Repeat settings. As a class-compliant device, you can use the product with any recent operating system, on PC, Mac, or iOS environments, without having to install any drivers. The LPD8 wireless is powered directly via USB when connected by cable to PC or Mac computers. For wireless use, you can rely on the ultra-stable Bluetooth LE4 connection (exclusively available for iOS and MacOS X) and you will need to power the instrument with 3 AA batteries (not included), or from a simple USB adapter.
