Description

Designed for electronic musicians, DJs, producers, on-the-road composers and live performers, Akai Pro APC Key 25 is the first controller produced by Akai Professional for Ableton Live that combines a 2-octave mini-key keyboard with a matrix for managing and playing Clips. An advanced control tool that will allow you to play virtual instruments from the keyboard, from melodic lines to bass parts, all while simultaneously playing samples and audio/MIDI loops loaded in the Session window of Ableton Live software through the pad matrix. In addition to the 25-key keyboard, the APC Key 25 has octave transposition and sustain buttons.

The 5x8 pad matrix of the Akai Professional APC Key 25 is based on 40 multi-color backlit mini pads for constant visual feedback of the status of each clip: loaded and ready for use, playing, or recording. This will allow you to perform your live performances without looking at the computer monitor. In addition, by using the arrow buttons in combination with the Shift key, you can move the 5x8 matrix up and down the Session window of Ableton Live software, managing even the most complex and clip-rich projects.

Akai Professional APC Key 25 is equipped with 8 rotary potentiometers that allow real-time manipulation of various parameters. These 8 potentiometers operate on multiple selectable banks via dedicated buttons, making them usable to control various parameters, including volume, pan, send, and Live device controls (effects and virtual instruments).

Akai Pro APC Key 25 is factory pre-mapped to work simultaneously and in full synergy with Ableton Live software. Connected to the computer via USB cable, the physical controls of the hardware will precisely match those of the virtual layout of the software. As a MIDI controller, you can also freely reprogram the mapping as you wish, according to your production or live performance needs, and use it with other MIDI-compatible production, live performance, and DJing software. Akai Professional APC Key 25 is a plug-n-play USB/MIDI device, powered directly via your computer's USB port, so it can be used anywhere you want.
