AKAI PROFESSIONAL ADVANCE 25, 49, and 61 KEY MASTER KEYBOARD MIDI USB

The Akai Professional Advance series of MIDI USB master keyboards includes three models with 25, 49, and 61 keys, featuring advanced virtual instrument mapping capabilities exemplified by a 4.3" high-resolution color display and the VIP: Virtual Instrument Player software. The keyboard boasts a semi-weighted, velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive keybed, two ¼" Jack inputs for connecting expression and footswitch (sustain) pedals, a programmable MIDI arpeggiator derived from the MPK series, octave transpose buttons, and the two classic pitch bend and modulation wheels, both rubber-coated for enhanced comfort. It also features backlit (RGB) MPC-style pads, also velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive, with Note Repeat functionality and arranged in 4 banks (32 virtual pads). There are 8 large, knurled 360° rotary potentiometers to ensure a better grip during use, and 4 transport buttons (play, record, pause, and loop).

Akai Professional's VIP works both standalone and as a VSTi, AU, RTAS, AAX plug-in for DAW software. As the name suggests, this is no ordinary utility, as Virtual Instrument Player allows each instance to load up to 8 different virtual instruments, offering layering, key zone split (assigning instruments to different keyboard zones), and volume mixing functionalities. Equipped with approximately a hundred presets useful for immediate control of the most popular plug-ins, VIP will also allow you to map the various virtual parameters of your favorite virtual instruments in a flash and in an extremely intuitive way. Furthermore, by utilizing the high-resolution display on the Advance series keyboards, you can scroll through the presets and load the desired one directly from the keyboard, without having to constantly look at your computer screen.

Traditional MIDI In and Out ports on 5-pin DIN connectors will enable MIDI controller functionality in the absence of a computer, as well as ensure the connection and control of other compatible MIDI hardware instruments from our computer-based DAW workstation.

By purchasing Akai Professional Advance 25, Advance 49, and Advance 61 keyboards, you can download - after product registration on the Akai Pro website - a package of virtual instruments and samples of approximately 16GB, with over 10,000 ready-to-use sounds: Vacuum Pro, Loom, Hybrid 3, Xpand2, Velvet, and Transfuser from AIR Music Technology, Eighty Eight Ensemble from SONiVOX, and sample libraries produced by Toolroom Records.
