The winding is Formvar, the wire size, wound on Alnico V magnets, is 42 Gauge. The single conductor wire is cloth covered. The AG 4M recreates the classic Stingray® sound while adding all the characteristics for which Aguilar pickups are known: excellent string balance, consistent tone rich in harmonics. The AG 4M pickup is wired in parallel to offer musicians crisp highs, articulate mids, and full lows.
