M-Steel, short for Maraging Steel, is a superalloy used in ultra-high stress applications in the aerospace and defense industries. The wound strings feature a patented Super Cobalt alloy wrap on a Maraging steel hexagonal core, and produce a richer, fuller tone with a more powerful low-end response. M-Steel plain strings are made from specially tempered steel for maximum fatigue resistance.
