Primacoustic BroadBand Absorber is a kit of 3 sound-absorbing panels from the Broadway series, ideal for treating any room in a Paintable finish. Each panel measures 60.96 x 121.92 cm and is 51mm thick. In this version, the panels feature a 90° edge.

Primacoustic Broadway panels are made of high-density 96 kg/m³ fiberglass and offer nearly five times more absorption than typical low-cost foam (pyramidal and egg-crate) alternatives. This means you'll achieve greater absorption using fewer panels, while also ensuring a smooth attenuation curve across the entire frequency range.

Included BroadBand Absorbers

Primacoustic BroadBand Absorber panels represent an easy-to-install solution for treating environments where maximum control over early reflections is required. Made of high-density fiberglass, they measure 60.96 x 121.92 cm, with a thickness of 51mm. The large surface area allows for excellent absorption across the entire frequency spectrum, making them particularly effective in improving speech intelligibility, ideal for installations in large spaces where reverberated sound and echo are excessive. BroadBand series panels are perfect for installation both on wall surfaces, using Surface Impalers, and in corners to increase their absorption across the low-frequency spectrum.

Surface and Corner Impalers mounting system

BroadBand Absorber panels in Paintable finish are easily installed using specially designed supports: Primacoustic Surface Impalers and Primacoustic Corner Impaler. The Primacoustic Impaler system provides the user or installer with a simple, quick, and effective method for mounting Broadway fiberglass acoustic panels on walls without causing severe damage to the surface.

The galvanized steel impaler features a series of sharp, protruding darts that penetrate the panel to secure it in place during installation. To ensure panels do not move after installation, it is recommended to apply a small amount of glue to the impaler tips during the mounting process; this adds an extra layer of security and reduces the opportunity for tampering. Impaler supports attach to the surface using typical concrete or drywall anchors and screws.

What does Paintable mean?

 If you ask anyone in the industry what the most common customer problem is, they will surely tell you it has to do with color choice. Primacoustic Paintable panels were created as a neutral solution that allows the end user to decide on the color after the panels have been delivered. This eliminates uncertainty about color choice and opens the door to creative use of textures and finishes.

Primacoustic Paintable are an innovative range of acoustic panels finished in Absolute White that can be repainted in any color you choose! The design starts with the same 96 kg/m3 high-density fiberglass core used in the Broadway series panels. Instead of wrapping the panel in colored fabric, the front and edges of the Paintable panels have a breathable latex finish that allows them to be spray painted or printed without affecting acoustic performance. The unique coated surface of Paintable panels can be printed at any print shop. Using a UV flatbed printer that accepts a minimum thickness of 5cm, custom graphics, photos, logos, or an image of your choice can be applied to the front of the panel. This high-resolution printing applies a thin coating in vibrant colors without compromising the acoustic performance of the panel. Complete customization of your acoustic treatment is now possible!

All Broadway panels are laboratory tested for acoustic performance and fire safety. Class A/1 flame retardant, they meet stringent ASTM-E84 and Can-UL S102 requirements for flame spread and smoke development. This makes Broadway panels safe for use in commercial, governmental, and institutional installations.

How to install Primacoustic Broadband Absorber Paintable panels:

Surface Impalers

 Step 1: Use a spirit level to draw a straight pencil line where the top of the panels will be placed. Measure along this line and carefully mark where the corners of each panel will be. If you are planning to space the panels, include the measurement of the space between the panels.

Step 2: Hold the Surface Impaler clip against the wall and mark the screw hole positions. Precise mounting is not necessary. The clips can be positioned anywhere within the panel space. Using a drill, make holes and install the wall anchors that will support each flange clip.

Then install each support, making sure to tighten the screws firmly!

Step 3: Tilt the panel so that the top edge touches the wall. Carefully align it with the straight line and marks you made in step 1. Remember to place a spirit level on top of the panel to keep it straight while guiding it onto the clips. After aligning the panel perpendicularly, bring the back into contact with all the Impaler tips. Apply the right pressure to impale the panel with the support tips. The panel will slide onto the Impalers and sink about 2cm.

The panel is now correctly mounted!

Corner Impalers

Primacoustic Corner Impalers simplify mounting BroadBand panels in room corners to form effective bass traps. As with Surface clips, Corner Impalers feature sharp tips that penetrate the panel and hold it securely in place.

Use 4 supports for each panel.

Step 1: Identify the approximate panel position in the corner, draw a horizontal pencil line exactly 432 mm from the corner vertex on both sides.

Step 2: Mark the position of all screws/anchors following the edge of the pencil line. Corner Impalers should be approximately 15/20 cm from the top/bottom edges of the panel.

Step 3: Install the included anchors for each Corner Impaler if your wall is made of drywall. Otherwise, obtain anchors suitable for the type of surface on which you will apply the panels. Use the specially designed holes on the support to tighten the screws!

Step 4: Once the flanges are in place, carefully rotate the sharp Impaler tips so that they are all pointing upwards at a 45° angle.

Step 5: Lift the panel so that it is in contact with all the corner Impaler tips. Once aligned perpendicularly, apply even pressure to the entire panel and impale it onto the clips. The panel will sink about two centimeters.

The panel is ready!
