Overview of Aquila Corde Armoniche's Sugar series

Sugar Ukulele strings are made using a newly discovered Italian bio-plastic derived from sugar cane. The sound of these strings is decidedly bright, clean, and crisp to the touch. Unlike Fluorocarbon strings, these strings have excellent vibrato and a notable tonal variation when played near the bridge and then towards the soundhole. In other words, they combine the sweetness and singability of gut with the clarity and promptness typical of Fluorocarbon. Another important property is their characteristic sustain, which scientific measurements have shown to be superior to any type of string currently available on the market. Another measured characteristic is the emission power: scientific tests have shown it to be superior to that of Fluorocarbon strings. Although the surface is extremely smooth, the grip on the fingers is remarkable.
