It is characterized by a metallic sound.</h1><h2>Overview of Aquila Corde Armoniche's 13O Reds Oud Arabic</h2><p style="text-align: justify;">The sets have a working tension of 3.4 Kg per string. The trebles are made from a newly discovered, high-performance acoustic bioplastic, derived from sugar cane, and named "Sugar" by Aquila. The wound strings are made of hypoallergenic red copper (with the exception of the third strings for the Arabic and Turkish Oud sets, and the fourth strings for the Iraqi Oud set, which are made of a gray metallic alloy) and have low finger noise.</p><h3>The problem with the D strings of the Arabic and Iraqi Oud sets, and the E strings of the Turkish Oud set</h3><p style="text-align: justify;">The third strings of the Arabic Oud (D) and Turkish Oud (E) sets, as well as the fourth strings of the Iraqi Oud (D) set, are normally made of wound strings, which have always been difficult to produce using common available materials (silver-plated copper or varnished copper). To achieve the right tone with the right tensions, such fine winding wires had to be used that they led to rapid wear of the string, making it more fragile than the rest of the set. Thanks to constant research into materials, Aquila Corde offers two innovative solutions, guaranteeing excellent acoustic performance, great stability and resistance, and good balance with the rest of the set:</p><ul><li style="text-align: justify;">The first solution, which is <u>offered by default</u> on all sets, is a <strong>wound string</strong> of <strong>grey</strong> color produced with a highly resistant and performing metallic wire, completely hypoallergenic, able to satisfy all those who are used to playing a wound string in that position;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">The second solution involves a <strong>synthetic string</strong> of <strong>reddish brown</strong> color, made with a special bioplastic loaded with metal powder to increase its density.
