The 000-28 Sunburst (2025) is the 000-shaped acoustic guitar from Martin & Co.'s "Standard" series in the distinctive 1935 Sunburst finish, made with a Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, selected Hardwood neck, and Ebony fretboard. It features GE-Scalloped bracing for greater brilliance and sound projection, a further lowered GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, and a more chamfered heel, neck, and bridge for increased comfort, along with bone bridge pins. It has a 44.45 mm nut width, a 633 mm scale length, and a gloss finish on the top, back, and sides.

The GE-scalloped X-bracing, herringbone binding, and antique white binding offer a bold and complex tone with timeless style. Spruce and East Indian Rosewood combine with a modified GE-style low-oval neck profile for a playing feel you won't want to let go of and comfort that will always make you feel at ease.
One of the main innovations of the 2025 Standard series is the use of Golden Era (GE) Sitka spruce bracing for the top, a detail also present in the Modern Deluxe series, which gives a more vintage and airy timbre with enhanced sustain. The modified "Low Oval" GE neck profile maintains the classic shape but has been optimized to offer a vintage appeal. The fretboard has been thinned and features rounded edges for greater comfort, while the string spacing at the nut has been perfected. The new GE "modern belly" bridge features softer, more comfortable angles. Standard Series guitars are now equipped with bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model. Aesthetic updates include an elongated neck diamond, an angled cut nut, and a more articulated, vintage-style heel.
